2023 Estate Chardonnay (Stainless)
Fair Play
14.5% Alcohol $31
SILVER 2024 Foothill Wine Festival

In 2023 we harvested an abundance of our Estate-grown Chardonnay. We decided to make two different wines from what was picked - our usual Grand Chardonnay and this stainless-steel version. Unlike our Grand Chardonnay, this version is unoaked and did not go through a secondary malolactic fermentation. It was 100% fermented and stored in stainless steel before bottling. Chardonnay aged in stainless steel is crisper, fruiter, and brighter. The stainless steel does not affect flavor, so the wine retains the grape’s natural characteristics. This 2023 is aromatic and has flavors of pineapple, green apple, citrus, and pear with mineral and floral notes. It is lighter in body than our Grand Chardonnay and has slightly higher acidity. This style is an everyday white wine and is one of the most versatile with food pairings. Best served slightly chilled.

2020 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon French Oak
Fair Play
14.2% Alcohol $34
GOLD 2023 San Francisco Chronicle
GOLD El Dorado County Fair
SILVER 2023 & 2024 Foothills Wine Festival

Our Estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon is old-vine and was planted over 42 years ago. The deeply rooted and vigorous vines produce small berries with thick skins which make for a deeply concentrated wine packed with intense flavor and beautiful, bold color. This vintage was aged in specialty French oak which brings complexity, structure, and finesse to this wine. Aromas of black fruit, violets and star anise will fill the glass. A palate of black cherry, blackberry and hints of black pepper show beautifully up front. Tertiary flavors of vanilla and baking spice make for a silky and textural finish from the French oak. Smooth tannins glide over the palate perfectly complimenting the refreshing balanced acidity.

2022 Petit Petite
50% Petit Verdot 50% Petite Sirah
Sierra Foothills
13.8% Alcohol $33

The bold structures of both Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah come together for a rich and complex wine. By marrying these two inky, robust and full-bodied wines together, we discovered something unique - the floral aromas and bolder tannins from Petit Verdot marry the fruity flavors and silky tannins of Petite Sirah. We complimented the tannins from these two varieties with a delicate and balanced touch of both French and American oak to round out the completeness of this big wine. In the Petit Verdot, we used French oak and with the petite Sirah we used American Oak, 50% combined with new barrels. Together these two wines aged in two different types of oak to create a more complex wine in the aroma and on the palate. Aromas of baking spices, dark fruits, star anise and violets. A palate of plum, chocolate, vanilla and hints of pepper that finish with smooth and round tannins.
